Tim Weed teaches vocal lessons using the Passagio technique, also known as Seth Riggs' Speech Level Singing (www.sethriggs.com), which he studied intensively for four years. Students learn to find their different areas of resonance and to relax the musculature of the throat, particularly the larynx, to avoid "pulling up" to high notes or "pushing down" for low notes.  Singers learn to float throughout their range, sounding better and eliminating potentially debilitating habits.  Proper vocal technique can be applied to any style of singing or speech. 

Voice lessons are open to all levels and all ages.  Lessons are customized to each student's individual needs, and topics are designed to meet the student's goals. Audio and video taping of lessons is encouraged.

Tim also coaches for specific performances or recordings.  He teaches harmony singing and "ear-training" which improves ones ability to respond to a style, melody, and harmony within a harmonic (chordal) structure.

Location - Tim is currently teaching in Point Reyes Station, Bolinas and Petaluma, as well as online (for Skype video lessons).  Lessons can also be arranged at your home in Marin, Fairfax, Novato, San Rafael or elsewhere in the Bay Area.  Please contact Tim for details.

Tim is also teaches lessons during his frequent travels to Tucson, Arizona.  Some online students travel to take occasional in-person lessons.

Material
Music can be provided based on your genre or style interests.  You are also encouraged to bring your own choice of music or songs to work on, if any.  In addition, Tim can provide coaching for a performance, or help you to prepare and arrange your own original music.
