Lesson Policies

Lesson Payments.  Payment is by-the-month for the same lesson time each week, pro-rated for the number of lesson days in that month.  For example, with the weekly rate of $60/hour, the monthly payment may be either $240 or $300.

Cash, check, credit/debit card or PayPal are accepted.  PayPal payments can be made on the Payment Page on this website.   Payment is due at the first lesson of the month for the entire month, for the appropriate number of weeks in that month (4 or 5).

Cancelling Lessons.  If you must cancel a lesson, please notify tim@timweed.com with a minimum of 24 hours advance notice.  Payment for that week is nonrefundable - you must reschedule a lesson within 4 days of the original scheduled time to avoid losing your payment.

Ongoing Weekly Lessons. Students at the weekly rate make a firm commitment to attending lessons every week of the month. Cancellation and rescheduling rules above are firmly enforced. When your attendance falls below that, prices increase to the Biweekly or A-La-Carte rate, as appropriate. Any additional payment will be due at the next lesson.

Tim occasionally needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson because of performance and touring engagements.  If he has to cancel a lesson, he'll contact you to reschedule with as much advance notice as possible.  If rescheduling is not possible, your payment for that week will be credited or refunded.

No-Shows.  Payments are non-refundable. If you do not show up and have not contacted Tim with at least 24 hours notice to reschedule, your balance will be deducted for 100% of the lesson.  Please plan accordingly to avoid any conflicts.

Punctuality. Please make every effort to arrive on time. If you are late, the lesson will still need to end on time in order for Tim to maintain his schedule.

In-Person Lesson Specifics.  There's no waiting area, so if you arrive early, please wait outside until your designated time.  At the end of your lesson, if a student is coming in after you, please be considerate and exit your lesson promptly.

Online Lesson Specifics.  Payment for your first online lesson must be made before the Skype session begins.  Tim will initiate the Skype call at the scheduled time.  At your first lesson, any extra time that's needed for setup & technical problems is free (therefore, the first lesson may be slightly longer than one hour).  After the first lesson, setup time falls within the paid lesson hour.

1) What attracts you to this instrument?
2) Are there specific songs or styles that you'd like to learn to play/sing? If so, please list them.
3) Are there specific artists who inspire you?
